Greg Black began making mouthpieces in 1985, carrying forward the traditions of the great New York City mouthpiece makers. His approach combines time-honored methods, close attention to detail, and a deep understanding of what musicians need from a mouthpiece.

That tradition continues today through the partnership of Greg Black and Benjamin Strickland. Together, they remain committed to preserving the qualities that define every Greg Black Mouthpiece while continuing to refine designs, develop new ideas, and serve the changing needs of brass musicians.
